Spring is almost here and it’s time to get a jump on the things that need to be done before it arrives. Spring cleaning can be an arduous task for some, but doing what needs to be done before the season arrives will make your life easier. Below are several tasks that need to be done to get your home ready for spring.
Cleaning Your Windows
Hopefully your home doesn’t have a lot of windows. The more windows you have, the more time you have to dedicate to this very tedious and daunting task. This is an overlooked area of the house a lot of times, but clean windows can make a big difference in the appearance of your home. During the winter and fall months, rain and snow can make your windows foggy or can even begin to rot the frames. Making and effort to clean your windows and doing a thorough check of any damage will brighten up the look of your home and keep any further damage from happening the window pane.
Check Your Air Conditioner
During the winter, high winds, or other weather related occurrences, may have damaged your air conditioning unit. Leaves or other debris may have become tangled in the blades of the unit causing it to malfunction. Also, the hoses within the unit may have begun to rot or have become blocked over the course of winter. Clean Your Fan Blades
If your home has been sealed for most of the fall and winter, then chances are you have built up a lot of dust over those few months. Cold temperatures can cause issues with your plumbing especially cracking or damaged pipes. If your water pressure has changed, then you may have one of these problems with your plumbing.
